Center for Wetlands at the University of Florida, The
The Center for Wetlands is a focal point for research on aquatic ecosystems. The Center for Wetlands at the University of Florida, the first of its kind in the world, was founded in 1973 by H.T. Odum. His goal was to use the Center as a focal point for both basic ecological research on wetlands as well as their sustainable use in meeting environmental management needs of the society. The Center quickly became the forum for interfacing traditional engineers with ecologists especially regarding the use of natural and constructed wetlands for waste water treatment. http://www.cfw.ufl.edu/

The Izaak Walton League was formed in 1922 to save outdoor America for future generations. We are one of the earliest conservation organizations to set an aggressive course to defend wild America by changing public policy. Almost every major, successful conservation program that America has in place today can be traced directly to a League activity or initiative. This page focuses on research and activities of the league involving our water resources. http://www.iwla.org/index.php?id=14
