Dan coordinates the efforts of OEP student interns, provides support and guidance to the EcoHusky students, and coordinates other UConn sustainability projects. A main focus of Dan’s work is to improve recycling at Uconn through education and outreach and to coordinate improvements to recycling infrastructure on the UConn Storrs campus.
Dan graduated from UConn in May 2006 from the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology’s joint B.S./M.S. Biodiversity and Conservation Biology program. Prior to returning to UConn Dan worked for the CT Department of Environmental Protection, an organic vegetable farm, and traveled around the world via the Trans-Mongolian railway. Dan enjoys running, various outdoor activities, commuting by bicycle, and has been known to watch birds.
