The Environmental Outreach Subcommittee was established as one of three main subcommittees within the Environmental Policy Advisory Council (EPAC) in 2003.

   

This subcommittee was developed to promote environmental awareness and increase environmental responsibility within the UConn community; to enhance environmental literacy; and to improve the University reputation in environmental performance and community relations on environmental issues.  

EPAC does have a current Environmental Literacy workgroup which addresses similar issues as the former Environmental Outreach subcommittee.
